| The town of Gatlinburg near Knoxville is the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, it is well serviced by shops and restaurants, and offers great tourist attractions, as well as some fly arts and crafts.

 DAILY BUDGET in GATLINBURG - If you are prepared to camp, and some of the sites are excellent, or crash at a cheap hostel, and do your own thing as regards meals, then it is possible to scrape by on US$50 a day.
