Glasgow Travel Guide for backpackers

Glasgow is a city of museums, art galleries… and urban chaos. Fortunately they also have the humour and energy to carry them above such trifling matters. Quite possibly the profuse and abundant number of pubs and bars help with the good humour and friendliness.

The city also has a lively arts scene, good restaurants and some great architecture, and of-course the River Clyde, scene of picnics, pleasure, and mucking about in boats.

DAILY BUDGET in GLASGOW - Even though Scotland is an expensive place to visit, accommodations for backpackers are more readily available than in England. Plan on spending at least USD $72 to cover one good meal a day and accommodation with a little left over for fun.
