| Hanover is blessed with many beautiful historical buildings and other sights, most of them connected by a pavement marked with a red line for the tourists to wonder around a 4.2 km route without getting lost. This city is lively, has a creative atmosphere and has a rich art scene. The annual industrial trade fair is the largest such fair in the world attracting visitors from around the world. Hanover played an important role in the history of Great Britain, for more than 100 years, Britain was rule by monarchs who descended from the House of Hanover, who technically also ruled over the German city. The most notorious of these monarchs’s was King George III who provoked the American Revolutionary War. |

DAILY BUDGET in HANNOVER - You can usually get away with spending between $78 and $120 on accommodation and your meals between $15 and $31 depending on what you feel like eating. |
Herrenhausen Royal Gardens – This is Europe’s only surviving Baroque gardens that were established in 1666. The highest garden fountain is found here as well as a Garden Theatre.
Hanover Zoo – At this incredible zoo the animals live in authentic surroundings that are just like their natural environments. There are breathtaking animal shows and an opportunity for a boat ride on the “Zambesi River”.
Hameln – This is the home of the Pied Piper legend. Here you will find a delightful Old Town with beautiful Weser Renaissance houses, modern shipping streets and historic buildings and monuments.

Eilenriede Green – on Lake Masch. Here you will find an attractive beer garden, which allows you to relax and enjoy some fresh air and maybe even play some sport.
Altdeutsche Bierstube – Larchenstrasse 4. This old-fashioned Bierstube remains stable and solid; with its decor that has changed very little since its original construction around 1860. The food is unpretentious, wholesome and filling. For a main course you would be looking at between $15 and $31, but you could also have a fixed 3 course menu which would set you back about $36.
Basil – Dragonerstrasse 30A. You dine in an antique atmosphere under a vaulted ceiling. The cuisine is modern, fresh and always different. The menu is changed every three weeks and also changes from season to season. For a set menu, you are looking at between $39 and $46. For a main course, between $21 and $25.

The Irish Pub – Bruderstrasse 4. This pub won an award in 1998 for the best Irish Pub in Germany.
Osho Disco – Rauschplatz 7l – This club plays funk, house and other dance music. There is a cover charge of between $5 and $10.
Cafe Glocksee – Glockseestrasse 35. This is an alternative venue, which stages hard-core, punk and techno shows. There is a cover charge of $15.
