| Ibiza Travel Guide for backpackers |

| Once a hippy hideaway, Ibiza long ago forgot it's roots and embraced new-age hedonism. During the summer months hordes of ultra hip straight and gay party animals arrive to enjoy the extraordinary clubbing scene; oh and there are lovely beaches, interesting markets and beautiful scenery too. Ibiza Town is the centre of most of the action and is the most attractive place on the Island in physical and atmospheric terms. |

DAILY BUDGET in IBIZA - Ibiza is not a cheap place to holiday but for a holiday bumming round on the beach and not doing much else then plan on scraping by on U$60 - $70. If you want to visit the nightclubs then budget for an extra $40-$60. |
Sa Penya - Ibiza Town - check out this port area with it's funky clothes boutiques and arty -crafty market stalls. Shopping is a major passion in the Ibiza and this is the place to do it.
Museu Arquelogic - holds some fascinating exhibit's and the nearby Cathedral is well worth a visit. Carry on walking round the atmospheric old walled town as the views from the walls are great.
Beaches - there are many lovely beaches on the island if you want to top up your tan whilst recuperating from the night before.
|

Madagascar - In the Playa des Parc. If you can face it, take breakfast here. The croissants are fresh and the coffee strong, perfect for the morning after the night before.
La Estrella, Placa San Riquer - this no frills cafe serves hot dogs, burgers and sandwiches to the local fishermen and visitors.
The Place del Sol on the square of the same name - you get amazing views and filled baked potatoes, a change from the usual chips with everything.

Local Bars - The choice of bars and clubs is awesome but as the nightclubs are pretty expensive start your evening with drinks at a local bar.
Try Harry's Bar - At the Place de Parqus it is a good place to have an early evening drink or two and watch the weird and wonderful revellers pass by.
Teatro Pereira - At the Combe de Rossello. This bar features live acts playing a wide range of music. It's free to go in but beware the drinks are expensive.
Privilege - This famous nightclub is six kilometres out of Ibiza Town on the road to San Antonio. World famous, or infamous, it's best known for it's decadent "manumission"parties . Save up your money to go here, the entrance fee and the drinks are pricey but a night here is an awesome experience, one not to tell the folk's at home about.
Soul City - located smack bang in the middle of san antonios west end, this place really gets in2 full swing in the early hours.great fo a place 2 shake that ass and cheap drinks.
Amnesia - This is the place if you like electronica. It is the place that houses the best DJs from all over the world. It is an open air club and really breathtaking.
