| Backpacking Travel guides |

| Theres just so many amazing
places and so little time (and money!). Having to choose from the
literally word wide selection of alluring destinations can prove to
be one of the heaviest decisions youve made yet! |

| What weve done to make
this hectic undertaking much less of a mission, is provide some info
on each country including the top five attractions, an indication
of the best times to visit, plus a clue of the dreaded cost factor.
Weve even provided a listing of the cities within each country,
as well as the index below of all the favourite cities featured along
the backpacker trail. Each of the cities listed are jammed packed
with info on how to get the most out of it on a shoestring. Stuff
like, free attractions (or nearly free attractions), cheap eats, cool
bars and clubs and even a daily budget should help you out a section. |

Penang Penang situated 370 km from Kuala Lumpur on Malaysia's north-western coast, and consists of a state and an island. Everything of interest is on Penang Island, Pulau Penang, it is a large island which is connected to the mainland by a bridge and round-the-clock ferry services from Butterworth.
The island's captial and Malaysia's second-largest city is often referred to as 'Penang'. You can make day-trips from Georgetown to the island's north-coast beaches of Batu Ferringhi and Tanjung Bungah. |
