| Mexico Travel Guide for backpackers |

| Being the third largest metropolis in the world helps to make sure that there is something for every one to do, from the best of things to the worst of things you will see and experience it all in Mexico city. Museums and skyscrapers, green parks and dry brown barren land. Music and laughter with dancing and singing crowds are all part of what makes Mexico City one of the best destinations. |

San Angel - Cobbled streets lead you to colonial houses and quaint little suburbs, but modern influences can be seen in the more expensive up to date architecture. Sat is market day.
Coyoacan - For a lively atmosphere, make this one of your stops, markets, mimes and all sorts of musicians will entertain you.
Centro Historico - As the name suggests, this fine little city is knee deep in history and secrets of the past, colonial buildings and ancient artefacts.
Alameda Central - This will particularly be of interest to the artists of the world, from modern art to classical pieces can be viewed in one of the many art houses here.
Xochimilco - Meaning, “place where flowers grow” is beast known for its beautiful canals and romantic gondolas rides, the weekends is when the fiesta begin and the city comes alive. |

DAILY BUDGET in MEXICO - Well we all know that if you stay in a tent and cook your own meals then living on about US$50 a day is very do-able. If camping is not your style then your accommodation will be in the region of about US$9-15 and food about US$6-12, so pack your bags and set off for a holiday that will be in your memory for all time. |
| All year round is cool for visiting Mexico, although the air can get chilly in the months of November to February. Most of the Mexican people go on holiday in July or August, but for the party animals out there, Christmas and New years are defiantly the most banging time of all. April month is for the romantic in you as this is when blossoms bloom and the weather is perfect. No matter when you go, a good time will be had by all. |
