Kings Park - Offers great views of the city and river and there are loads of good beach resorts for just lazing about and swimming.
Perth Zoo - An attraction you cannot miss is the Perth Zoo across the Swan River. Amazing Aussie animals, especially in the nocturnal house.
Fremantle Markets - Open Fri, Sat and Sun with good selection of art, local design, yummy food and entertainment. Have a beer in the Market bar, and watch fire twirlers outside. Cheap fruit 'n veg at 4pm on Sundays!

Dome - 13 South Terrace - Quick coffee and food. Some of the best sandwiches in Aus.
Kailis Fish Market - Freemantle Fishing Boat Harbour - From the boat into the pan.
Fiber McGee’s - 117 Newcastle Street - great value for money and riotous fun with the staff.
Taka's Kitchen Fremantle - Cheap, delicious, fresh Japanese food in the Old Shanghai opposite the Freo markets. Excellent value, quite healthy too!

Cactus Club - 2149 Albany Highway - Superb clubbing in the suburbs.
Zanzibar Bar and Club - 43 News Road - Popular, packed and pounding.
The Newport Fremantle - Live band venue, cheap beers on backpacker nights with live band karaoke (highly reccommended!). Good pub.
