| San Francisco is a small but pretty city, with good food, excellent views and friendly people. You can watch the Golden Gate become enveloped by white fog as the sunsets or go to fisherman's wharf and visit the sea lion colony. There is also the infamous Alcatraz Island that was meant to be an escape proof prison. This quiet little town has something for everyone. |

DAILY BUDGET in SAN FRANCISCO - For about US$50 you can eat and sleep quite comfortably, Try camping and cooking your own meals to save money. Your meals should be about US$6-11 and as for the accommodation, you are looking at about US$9-40 per day. |

China Town - This compact but colorful area is perfect for slow walks and cheap curios, the best time to visit is during the Chinese new year, when crackers are being set off and laughter can be heard from all over.
Golden Gate Park - Built on sand dunes and created for relaxation, this little piece of heaven has many things for you to do. Museums, the Steinhart Aquarium and Morrison Planetarium are but a few of the attraction of this fantastic park.
The Cable Cars - This is especially for the tourist, you can go up and down the steep hills in them for a spectacular view of san Francisco or visit the Cable Car Museum and Powerhouse, to find out all about why and how they came to be.
Coit Tower - The best point in SF to have an breathtaking view all over town, Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz etc. even if you donīt take the 5$-elevator up the tower! Take the small Gardenways up the Hill to find beautiful impressions...

Yuet Lee - located at 1300 Stockton St-Good food, good company and friendly service is what you will receive when entering this restaurant and it is open until 3am but closed on Tuesdays.
Rose Pistola - Located at 532 Columbus-Thin-crusted pizzas and eclectic tapas are prepared by one of the best chefs in the city, very cost effective place to eat.
Little Joe's - Located at 523 Broadway-Standing in line is not unheard of but well worth the wait, huge portions of excellently prepared food at a low cost are the order of the day.

Brainwash - located at 1122 Folsom St, SoMa-Do you're washing while sitting drinking a beer or eating breakfast. This is where the young gather to discuss the nightly plans.
Vesuvio's - Located at 255 Columbus St, North Beach-.Vibey, friendly arty crowds gather here to talk about life and drink. Carrying on into the small hours of the morning.
Zeitgeist - Located at 199 Valencia-If you like Motorbikes and hardcore drinking, this is the place for you. They even have a large patio for all you smokers out there.
Black Crow - Looks like a typical "Rocker Bar". Very charming barmen who give you a taste of every beer they have, before you have to order the "perfect" one! If you are lucky, you can stay after locking the doors for a private party!
