| Sihanoukville is a popular destination for locals on weekends and holidays, the city offers beautiful sandy beaches, well stocked seafood restaurants and a laid-back atmosphere. It is a charming, friendly town complimented by the soothing influence of the ocean and has become a popular destination for tourists. After enjoying a lazy day on the beach, you can head off and party at one of the town's vibrant nightspots. |

DAILY BUDGET in SIHANOUKVILLE - Sihanoukville is a relatively inexpensive destination to visit, you can get buy on a daily budget of US$30, while having a great time. If you want to experience a more luxurious visit, you should work with a daily budget of US$70. |

Golden Lions Monument - It is a famous landmark located in the middle of the traffic circle between Sokha and Ochheuteal beaches. It is relatively new, constructed in 1996, with the surrounding gardens being a popular evening hangout for local teens.
St. Michael’s Church - Constructed in 1962, it is found just off the corner of Boray Kamakor and Kampuchea-Soviet Mittapheap Streets at the base of Sihanoukville Mountain. Renowned Cambodian architect, Vann Molyvann, designed this beautiful church.
Independence Square - This Square is an open meeting hall, with the Independence Monument (Vimean Ekareach), a small shrine and a park area. It was constructed in 1985 and honors the independence and war dead of Cambodia. Ceremonies are held on January 7th.

Sam's - Located at Weather Station Hill, this cafe is run by well known Sihanoukville veterans, who know all there is to know about the local cuisine. Their speciality is Thai food, which is both excellent and inexpensive.
Mick and Craig's - Located at Sopheakmongkol St, near Ekareach St. This cafe-bar offers the best selection of western style foods, serving sandwiches, quiches and grills. Open all day and is very popular with the discerning budget traveler.
Sokha - This is the only restaurant found on Sokha beach, serving great fresh local seafood dishes for lunch and dinner. The sand under your feet and the stars above, make it a romantic spot to dine right on the beach.
cool banana bungalows - This place is great. It has cheap food of a realy high standard and you can get a room for between $3 and $6 I can fully recommend this busisness
Holy Cow - Situated downtown in Ekareach St near Seeing Hands Massage. Excellent, cheap western style food in a lovely garden setting. All food prepared fresh on the premises. Check out their new website www.holycowcambodia.com
monkey republic - good cheap food, menu includes english meals for those who miss it. rooms also avaliable (approx $6pn)

Casablanca - Located downtown behind Samudera Market, it is a small bar in the Casablanca bookstore, with an excellent collection of spirits. Here you will find good conversation and great books, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Dusk Til Dawn - This open-air roof top bar is found downtown next to Angkor Arms. It offers cold beer, a wide range of spirits, stunning views, a lovely breeze and a chilled out atmosphere. With a Foosball table and Cable TV, it is a popular bar with locals and tourist alike.
Mambos - Found at Golden Lions Roundabout, this Western-oriented nightclub is very popular with the young locals at weekends. They play a wide variety of music and on occasion have Western DJs.
cool banana bungalows - Friendly staff and ia great pool table open 24 hours for a drink and something to eat. I really like it
Kangaroo Kitchen guesthouse Restuarant and Bar - New bar in main part of town very upmarket place compared to most in sihanoukville. largest bar and spirits supply i have ever seen. very large and breazy place
Monkey Republic - right next door to mick and craig's and esbc (endless summer beach club) so you could do a mini bar crawl. attracts a good crowd of people, cool tunes and good vibes.
