Jollyboys Backpackers, Livingstone - Reviews & Contact Details

My Wife and I have returned from a fantastic trip to see Victoria Falls where we stayed at Jollyboys in Livingstone, Zambia. Jollyboys International Backpackers Lodge to give it it’s full title is the perfect place for the backpacker to stay, but is also the perfect place to stay if you don’t want to pay through the nose to put your head on a pillow for a night or two - If you can live with a clean private room, with on suite shower & toilet, mossi net & aircon, then this is the place for you. Various types of accommodation from Dorms, to Private Rooms for 2 or 4, to Private En-Suite Rooms and also Camping Facilities are all offered at Jollyboys, all at a very good rate On site is also a Bar with very reasonably priced drinks, DSTV, Bar Meals. Outdoor Pool with Jacuzzi pool, Free Table Tennis & Pool, Curio shop, Quiet Area for reading, viewing platform in the roof. A cheap and excellent meal is available from the kitchen in the Evening, or a large kitchen with stoves, fridges, pots etc is available at all times for you to prepare your own food. The outdoor pool is set in the grounds with Mango Trees that entice you to pick the ripe fruit; in fact the best place to eat a juicy Mango is by the pool or in it! Jollyboys staff are always helpful and friendly and the reception also acts as a booking office for all the activities that happen in the area. Bungee Jumping, White Water Rafting & Kayaking, River Safaris, Booze Cruise, Helicopter Flights, Elephant Safaris, Gorge Swing, Jet Boat Trip, Game Drives and lots more. They also offer a host of other information on places to eat & drink, places to go and will try to answer or assist with any other questions you have. Other amenities include Daily free bus to Vic Falls and free airport pick up. Internet Access available on site, Secure Parking, 24 hour security, Bicycle Hire & More. Jollyboys offer a Visa Waver Package, so be sure to enquire about it. My wife has always been one to take the hair straighters on holiday, so this was a whole new experience for her. During a week long stay we saw Children aged 9 & 14 with the parents to a couple who were in there late 60’s all enjoying the relaxed and comfortable facilities of Jollyboys. We will be going back without question when we next pass through Livingstone.

A great hostel located in the center of Livingstone town (right behind the museum!) with a relaxing garden oasis full of fruit trees and a gorgeous rock pool. Ensuite twin/double rooms, thatched twin & double chalets, dorms (even some with air-con!) and a green grass campsite make this an excellent base for your Victoria Falls adventures!
