Rio Hostel, Rio de Janeiro - Reviews & Contact Details

Hey Guys, This hostel is a little Gem and Karina the owner is a legend, she really will help you with anything that she can, our friend lost his luggage it went to Argentina so she called around and located it for us. The other staff that work there are great as well, so friendly and the atmosphere is VERY laid back. It is in a funky part of Rio as well and only 20-30min on the bus the beach but away from all the hussle and bussle of the main drag of Ipenema and Copacabana. The local resturants are very cheap as well and it is safe to walk to streets in the area at night. Oh and the view from the hostel is brilliant. Ask Fabio to take to a game of footy at Macarana the guy is a total nutter and will most probably bring his big drum and take you to where all the crazy Rio fans sit!! MAD FUN, he took us and it was great. So all round it is a great hostel, good internet and facilities, trust me if you stay there you wont be disappointed.

I stayed in that hostel for two weeks. Great atmosphire. Nice people. The stuff will do every thing to help you. The hostel is cleane, nice breakfast. The neighborhood is the best thing about this place, close to the center, to Lapa - a neighborhood with great night life, safe. I stayed in Rio longer because I like so much of the place .
