Ashanti is one of Cape Town’s bigger hostels and we try to do everything right. All the way from designer African decor that starts at the front door to our staff who are friendly and know what they are talking about. The room choice ranges from 6-bed shared dormitories to up-market en-suite double rooms complete with your own television and heated towels rails, so there is something to suit all! All rooms are serviced daily. In our reception area we offer internet terminals, telephone kiosks, mail and baggage holding facilities, postcard, stamp, film and T-shirt sales and a laundry service. This Victorian mansion offers you the best of all worlds – a tranquil garden to chill out in, a large swimming pool to float in and tennis courts next door for the more active! We have 24-hour access and are only 15 minutes walk into the city centre. There is a large shopping mall nearby and vibey Kloof street with its many alternative restaurants is also only a short walk away. Our popular weekly pool competition and all the other activities and events we offer in the Kumasi Cafe bar make it a central gathering point. Watch the latest sports action on satellite television, snack on a decadent waffle or a quick pizza and try the local beers. To recover, head down to the TV room to watch a video from our large collection. Ashanti is also a great option if you want to make any travel arrangements as they have a full, and very together, travel desk that does uber alles from hand holding to brain storming on where, when and how...All your adventure activities, car rentals, day tours and up-Africa safaris can be booked here. Don’t forget we will fetch you from the station or airport for free during office hours if our driver is available!
