This is THE WORST PLACE in Amsterdam. Bedbugs, Smelly, Damp rooms, I have seen better places in Afghanistan. by no means pay cash, they will pocket it and charge your card later. Dont get me wrong, I love Amsterdam, I hated this place and this place should be condemned. TOTALLY GROSS, and I am a guy.

Booked a room as it was the last place available for a last minute trip. The bed sheets had blood and on them and were turned rather than changed. Got bitten by the bed bugs so badly that I needed antibiotics. Revolting place, under no circumstances stay here.

Beware if you plan to spend a few days in that hotel as we did. We stayed for a week and for a little more money you can find a better hotel. Bed sheets were never changed in a whole week. Sometimes they just used to arrange the sheets, but most of the times they didn't. Sometimes they didn't even take the used towel, they just put fresh towels. On a certain day they didn't have any fresh towels available. The worst thing however is that the mattresses and sheets some of which are stained with paint etc, had several small white flea like insects and other insects. Some of us in our group got a skin infection from the bed sheets and had their entire body covered in red spots and during the night they used to feel mosquito bites, which in fact weren't the mosquitoes, but where the bed sheets themselves or the fleas or bugs on them. The room was never cleaned and was quite dusty. Any garbage was hardly ever thrown away. Staff is very friendly and helpful but not worthed to stay in this hotel unless it's just for a night or in an emergency case.

Absolutely terrible. We made our booking online and but when we got there they told us that they didnt have the dorms we booked and we could take what they had or lump it. The guy at the desk actually said we can sleep on the street if we dont want to stay here. It was 11pm on a friday night and we had no where else to go. After our first night 3 of us were bitten to death with bed bugs. Under no circumstances stay in this HOLE. A week after our stay and we are still covered in bites and scratching.

Hotel Heart Of Amsterdam is a small, modest, and comfortable hotel and hostel situated in the famous Amsterdam 'Red Light District' and just 3 minutes walking from the real heart of Amsterdam. It is also situated at one of the old historic canals of Amsterdam and it is easy to walk from the hotel to most of Amsterdam's main tourist-attractions including the Royal Palace at the Dam-square, the big shopping areas, the Beurs van Berlage, Madame Tussaud's and the famous Amsterdam canal boats Walking distance to the Central Station is only 10 minutes.
