Athens Backpackers Hostel, Athens - Reviews & Contact Details

I've traveled around to many places and this place rates high on my list.I stayed at this hostel in the Fall 2005 and to all those who post negative reviews about the staff being unprofessional I completely disagree. These guys and girls especially the owners were as nice as could be. They show you a great time, give you ideas about whats possible to do in athens, and help you any way they can to arrange travelling plans. Its true if your a lady you get special attention , but the guys seemed to be having a blast also. After all girls who have to feel flirty to get any attention must be busted or just insecure. I loved this place and its location and would stay there again in a heartbeat. The owners are doing a lovely job with this place and I hope they keep it up. Philly girl

i thought this hostel was great! the people, the atmosphere, the bar on the roof- all these things made my experience in athens absolutely amazing. the rooms were clean and exactly what anyone would expect from a hostel. i would definitely stay here again!

This place was an amazing expierience filled with fun, laughs, and great conversation. The minute you walk through the door you feel very welcome. They provide all the information you need to get from one destination to the next. Aything you need to know about buses, metro,or ferries Edward the general Manager has memorized in his head. The rooms are clean the beds are comfortable the pillows soft. From the begining of your stay till the end you are entertained either by movies, drinks on the balcony, or a great bar downstairs. The entire crew is very helpful and fun not to mention all the boys working are cute and friendly especially Edward:) Although I do believe they need more girls working the night shift that are as cool as the morning shift girls. In any case I've stayed alot of places and this one gets a 10 I'll be back as a returnee someday hopefully.

This hostel was really really nice :) I had a really good time there, it was clean, nice staff and last but not least a roofbar with an amazing view. I stayed in this place for 1.5 week (if you put all my seperate days together) and it really felt like home.

I spent two weeks in Greece this March, and spent about 4 nights at the Athen's Backpackers. The owners were great and the crew was helpful and fun. The beds were the most comfortable of my whole stay in Greece, and nobody had better showers or cleaner blankets. The rooftop terrace is absolutely lovely, and I loved the BBQ. There is always something going on at this hostel. During the day they play movies and serve drinks, and at night there is always lots of music and activity downstairs. We started out at Athen's Backpackers, went to Mykonos, and then came back to the hostel for a night, and it felt like we were coming home. The place has great people, has good internet acces, and plays good music. What more could you ask for.

Athens backpackers is brand new, opened by Aussies as an up-market alternative for travellors. Right beside the Acropolis, forty metres from the Acropolis metro station with a roof top garden view of the best of Athens. The fittings are of the highst standards, full kitchen, computers, satellite tv, Home Cinema, air-con and central heating/double glazing, all bedrooms with en-suites and balconies, seriously comfortable beds with quality bedding and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel totally at home.
