Indigo Youth Hostel, Valencia - Reviews & Contact Details
Don´t let this place put u off Valencia.
If your looking for basic bed and a regular backpacker or hostel user you´ll be aware that you dont always get comfort. But if your looking for a basic bed with added extras such as, dirty bathroom/showers, bedrooms right next to the noisy communal room at night (contributing to no sleep if your ill or have an early start), lockers that are big enough for school kids to fit their school books in - forget backpacks or luggage), dodgy air conditioning, a hostel thats hotter indoors than outdoors and curtains that may aswell not be there because theyre made of around 2 threads, OH and not forgetting the rude staff, who cant be bothered to even make eye contact or respond if you smile or say hello then Indigo is the place for you.
There are two plus points Katy (who works there) unfortunately we met her just as we were leaving and she is was adorable, extremely helpful and friendly. If we saw her at any point during the two nights we had there we probably would have left with a different impression. The other staff just frankly made me feel depressed. They´ll only chat to you if your male or the same nationality as them. The best thing is they couldn´t accomodate us for the next two nights of our stay in Valencia (thank god) we ended up at the Purple Nest which quite frankly is in a league of its own - lets just stay its almost 5 star compared to Indigo.
Breakfast is the second plus, but doesn´t really compensate.
Oh and if Kareen from indigo is reading this, id just like to say when your welcoming guest into your hostel perhaps a bra or maybe just a top that isn´t see through would be more appropriate. Some men may love it but some women may find it offensive..... but save it for the beach love and ditch the attitude!!!
