The Scout House offers budget to intermediate accommodation in the centre of historical mining town of Banska Stiavnica, part of the UNESCO's World Heritage Fund. Banska Stiavnica lies in the mountains of central Slovakia, about 200 km from Bratislava. The region is still unspoilt by mass tourism and offers great opportunities of cultural and technical sightseeing, summer and winter sports (hiking, swimming in lakes, skiing, horse riding, cycling...). If you have never been to a real mine (now turned into a museum), never swam in a different lake each day during your hike, never walked over a sleeping volcano mountains, never breathed atmosphere of a once wealthy medieval mining town... come to Stiavnica.
