Gk Riverview Homestay, Kottayam - Reviews & Contact Details

We had made reservations to go to GK's Homestay, but our driver couldn't find it. After driving for more than one hour, asking directions from countless people on the road, we finally gave up and went to a hotel in Kottayam.
Upon return home, I found that George Kutty had written me a very nasty e-mail berating us for not coming and accusing me of being a dishonest person, challenging me at the end to pay up for his costs (at a rate 50% over what we had agreed upon in the first place).
I have no doubt that this place is nice, but beware of not finding it! GK's vicious attacks sour my picture of the place.

We had the good fortune to find a brochure for George's homestay whilst travelling in Kerala. It was the most fantastic place we stayed in, made so by the warm and friendly welcome given to us by George and his family. We have recommended it to friends who have yet to visit Kerala and still talk about our stay at George's whenever anyone mentions India to us. It was the highlight of the whole trip.

G.K`s river view homestay Is the winner of state tourism award for the best homestay facility in Kerala.it is situated on the bank of river(backwater)Meenachil , just 4 kms away from the huge Vembanad lake.Our rooms are mosquito free with indipendant entrance and modern toilets.We arrange backwater cruise in and around kumarakom/Alleppy by house boat,motor boat , country boat or even by Govt.ferry(very cheap). and also arrange trips to Periyar(Thekkady)wild life sanctuary ,Munnar tea gardens .(about 6000 to 8000 ft above sealevel.)cannoeing,fishing,trecking,sightseeing,bird watching,elephant riding , Ayurvedic body massage are our additional facilities.we provide tradditional kerala/indian veg and non veg food.
