Hostel Patio, Bratislava - Reviews & Contact Details
I stayed there in July 2006. I thought it was way too expensive and hygiene is not one of their strong points. They advertise as the “newest place in Bratislava”, well, the only thing new that I could find was the sign outside. I don't know where the pictures were taken, but not in the hostel I stayed in! The bathrooms were old and falling apart with not warm water at all!, and there were no curtains in our room. In all fairness, they were renovating at the time so maybe the place will improve. Also, this renovation means you will be rudely awoken at 7 am. The staff mentality was awful, and they overcharged us, by any standards but especially in comparison to other places in Central Europe. I am sure there are much better and cheaper places to stay at in Bratislava. The location is good, although Bratislava isn't big so most places will be close to the centre and public transport is great allowing you to go anywhere relatively fast.
a palace! clean, comfy, lovely color scheme and Warhol posters in the hallway! staff were REALLY nice. i think i even feel a little air conditioning here... good if you are tired from too much running around. maybe a little boring if you are looking for a brush with death...
Hostel Patio is the newest hostel in Bratislava located in the city centre. Only 10 minutes journey from the main railway station or the bus station. Great restaurants, pubs and clubs and all historical sights are just within walking distance.
