Overview
Cuesta Arriba, a shady Spanish colonial style hostel, a little aways from
the dusty bustle of downtown Santa Teresa and yet one step from the well
known surf break of La Lora. Friendly Argentinean couple, Barbara and Martin run this cozy and laid back B& B style hostel that offers lofty and spacious co-ed rooms that can house up to six people. Each room has a private bathroom cleaned daily and is equipped with isurf racks, safety boxes and fans. Complementary coffee and toast offered daily between 6 and 9 am and the hostel also houses a fully equipped, clean and spacious communal kitchen. There is also a breezy lounge area with satelite tv and a dvd player, the owners offer a wide selection of updated dvd films. A communal bicycle is also available for guests needing to run errands or check e-mails in town. Tourist information is available for both surfers and non surfers. The price is $12 USD per person, group rates available as well.

| I stayed here during the first few weeks of January 2007. Cuesta Arriba is a great hostel and has all the amenities you need at a price very friendly to the budget traveler. The grounds are very well kept and the rooms are clean as well. There is a fully stocked kitchen for you to use as well. Martin and Barbara the owners of the hostel are very friendly and helpful. I met a lot of great people here and will definately be back. If you are staying in the Santa Teresa/Mal Pais area I recommend this place. |
