Although in Hanoi there is a huge choice of places to stay and they all seem very similar, the Locus was by far the best place to stay and the best place I stayed in the whole of Vietnam. The rooms were immaculate and great value for money. The staff could not have been more helpful - Toni (the manager) was so accomodating for us and our friends who were not even staying there! The location is perfect, so there really is nothing wrong with the place! They will even pick you up from the airport if you send them an email to ask. I have recommeded the hotel to loads of people on my travels and would definitely recommed it to anyone reading this :)

We made a fair deal for a nice room with balcony for three nights. The next morning we were pushed out our room. Probably they could make more dollars for this room. A bad experience (especially because they knew I was quite ill the day before). Also they offered us a Laos visa for 45 dollar. The consulate of Laos was far away they told us. It was in walking distance and costs 35 dollar.

I've never felt so welcome in my life! .. and i've travelled to a few places in my lifetime. A family effort in this hostel and you can't help but feel grateful for all their assistance. Internet is free, you can book tours and a complimentary breakfast is available each day. Location is amazing! Value for money ... highly recommend. If you want to meet people, maybe not the best place .. but is possible!! :)
