Whisky bucket a mystery - Thailand
by Mat | Date > 2005-04-20 | Country : Thailand | City : Koh Phang nana | Area : Koh Phang nan
Koh Phan Nan... It started out to be a great night (night before the FMP). Me and two friends were sitting on the beach at dusk.. sipping on a nice cold Chang beer, looking around and laughing to ourselves about what a great place this was and saying we wouldnt want to be anywhere else in the world. Sick of beer we started on these interesting bucket mixes of Song Saam whisky (not spelt right), red bull and a dash of coke. After a long day drinking beer, this was a lovely refreshing, but strong taste. Feeling rather pissed i decided to get my phone out and call my mates back home in NZ to gloat about it..........thats the last thing i remember!!! Next thing i remember, it was around 3am. I was walking around in the bush somewhere in a monsoon rainstorm, wallet gone, phone gone... button from my shorts gone?? Thinking to myself where the f*ck am i... im surely gonna die! Anyway, not a religious person normally.. i decided to pray to God to get me back to where i was staying...blanked out for awhile to the next phase of my memory.. here i was standing at the outside restaurant at the resort i was staying at (Venus Resort). Unfortunately our bungalow was about 100 meters up a share cliffe face (hard enough to get up path when sober). Next thing i know i saw a German guy we meet who helped me up this path.. asked me where my bungalow was... told him the general direction. He told me to stand still while he checked that it was mine... next thing i know i fell down the cliff about 10 meters slashing my leg and head open. Woke up next morning in his room looking like death, minus my wallet, phone and alot of skin. Basically i either drank too much or something was put in my drink.. i think it was the latter.... (never felt like that before). Hence the actual night of the Full Moon Party was rather sedate!!!! Gotta love Thailand though!!!!
