Visa needed to travel to Paris? - France
by Dottie Hudson | Date > 2005-06-27 | Country : France | City : Paris | Area :
This was our first trip abroad (1986). It would have happened sooner but we had 3 children to educate and the last one just graduated....with a job!
We left Boston, landed in London. Went to Brussles before going to Paris (blame our travel agent for that). While eating breakfast we read that France would require visas, tomorrow! It took us the whole day to get the required visa but it was accomplished. Flew from Brussles to Paris (same travel agent genius) and guess what, nobody asked us for the visa. There on desks were the required paperwork needed for anyone to fill out to enter Paris France.
Walking around Paris was completely safe, armed guards were everywhere. We learned to avoid the doggie dodo and wrapped garbage on the sidewalks. It seems they send the bomb squad to pick up garbage, or so I thought.
That didn't discourage us, we've been back to Paris many times and marvel at the changes the past almost 20 years.
