Things I bought that I did not need - Morocco
by Charlie Hill | Date > 2005-10-12 | Country : Morocco | City : Tangiers | Area : Algecira
I was in Torremolinos and decided to drive down to Gibraltar then took a ferry over to Tangiers, Morocco. That’s when my nightmare started. I went down the Kazbar, we tried a meal in a restaurant, cuscus and chicken followed by green mint tea, wasn’t too bad at the time.

We then went down the Kazbar. They were like ants coming out from every where putting cheap copper bracelets on your arms then asking for money as you fended one off another three were trying to sell you other things, the more you fought them off the more they tried. My wife was terrified and I felt closed in, so my mistake was I bought some things hoping they would leave us alone. That only made matters worse and they tried even harder to sell you things that you would never ever think of buying or even wanted for that matter.

One thing with one tooth, a dodgy eye and a long shirt down to his ankles followed us all the way back to the port.

What made it worse is that it was the start of Ramadan and the streets were filling up for a nightly worship, we got back to the ferry at 5 o clock. If we did not get out then I think we would never have been seen again.

I would not go down the Kazbar again even with the England rugby team.

The next day I had pains in the stomach and the runs it is one week later now and I am still running to the toilet.

Sorry must go the toilet is calling again.

It is now Wednesday 12/10/05
