Isla Mujeres Snorkel - Isla Mujeres, 'Island of Women' lies 8 miles across the bay from Cancun, is only 5 miles long and just over ½ a mile wide at its widest point. The west and north sides of the island have several lovely white sandy beaches; the east side is rocky and windswept as it faces the open sea. The island has around 14,000 inhabitants, most of them living in the town at the northern end.
Isla Mujeres offers a relaxing and fun tour from Cancun. The day commences with a 45-minute cruise across the beautiful turquoise Caribbean waters to one of the island’s beaches. At the island there is a choice of snorkeling, bike riding, a small boat to a special place in the island, a two minute walking tour to old Hacienda Mundaca, a 5 minute walking tour to a turtle farm or simply laying back and working on a suntan! Time too to have a wander around the laid-back town center and shop for some souvenirs, before boarding the boat and heading back to cosmopolitan Cancun.
