what a superb welcome we had 5 yrs ago september,and made many friends through steve an ian and the atmosphere of the pub is second to none,a great crack in the afternoon,karoake or traditional FUN quiz in the nites,an plenty of ambernector..TAFFYS mountain water a must,especially if u forgot to clean ur teeth...role on september
Im sure the people slagging off this bar havent even been in there !!!!! The best fun you can hav with your clothes on- or not !
Just sat down with our drinks and the quiz started, so everyone stops talking while they are doing the quiz, it reminded me of old peoples homes back in England where they just sit there saying nothing while the matron calls out the bingo numbers.walk along the front to a pub called Irelands eye your will have a far better night there and not a quiz in sight.
if you cant enjoy yourselves at Taffys there is no hope for you anywhere else in praia da rocha ... try it !
An expat who moved to Portugal at the end of 2005 and always goes to taffys when he gets a chance. Steve, Ian and Sam make you feel most welcome and quiz nights are great, loads of live sport and the Guiness is the best in town. Good on you Ian!

been to taffys every year since 1999.steve the owner is one of the nicest and most generous guys u could meet.its a must place to go for a friendly and sociable drink
Been going to Porimao and Rocha for 28 years . We spend about 4 months a year there and always go to Taffys.
most friendly bar staff in rocha been my local most of my holidays over the past 10yrs.
Have been going to Rocha for 11 Yrs this is my local as everone so friendly. Meet same friends every year so we cannot all be wrong
Well i have been to this bar many a time all i can say is the other people need to get a life. I know for a fact they wouldnt run a quixz with only 15 people in a pub. Try TAFFYS for yourself

Went there on a musical quiz night and they ran out of glasses and had no change in the till, there was only about 15 people in there.also the barman who was doing the quiz started saying those Liverpool jokes about scoucers there was a Liverpool family sitting there doing the quiz who left. found the pub boring
