| Flag Beer is sold in Benin, also. It is often served warm as there are few refrigerators. It is likely available all over West Africa, although Moslems don't use alcolol. A cold bottle of Flag is quite good after a hot day of touring. |

| probably the best of all west african beers -- and even better than south africa's castle lager -- it is only served in restaurants and hotels and double the price of la gazelle, although half the size. but, it's worth it if you can find it cold during the rainy season. |

| I live in Niger, and we have only two beers- Flag and Beire Niger. That's it. Flag is just barely better than Beire Niger, but anything else is better than a Flag. I have illegally crossed borders going through the bush just to import one case of Gulder or Harp from Nigeria rather than have another Flag. I've toured the brewery in Niamey, and found out about the process in Niger, Cameroun, Benin, etc. Some people are rating it better than Castle Lager? Are you MAD? |

| Flag is alright, nothing great. Pretty tame and somewhat bland really. YOu can get it in bottles the same size as flag for 600 cfa, and thats only 200 more than a gazelle, so the guy who said otherwise got ripped off.
I'd rate Flag a notch lower than Gazelle, and I'm sampling both right now. Gazelle is cheaper, and its not bland and watery like flag.
I too lived in Niger, and Flag is leaps and bounds better than Bier Niger. I think they put formaldahyde in that stuff. |

| flag is the best beer to be found in most francophone countries, anyone who says it is better than castle is crazy. however, in most french speaking countries flag is the best, tops biere niger, gazelle, and pretty much any other locally branded w african beers, brakina, etc, seems every country has their version of gazelle, biere niger, etc, though the artwork is usually better on these, Flag has superior ingredients, lived in w. africa for 3 years and nothing tops a flag unless you can tap into SAB beers- like castle, or some imports- Flagman |
