| Overall taste is diminished by a tin like aftertaste, which might have something to do with the bottle cap and shipping. |

| Whilst it can be argued, due to the fact it's brewed on license rather than imported, that the UK form of Foster's is a different beer, this is basically still the pariah of the Australian beer family.
Ignore the clever adverts. It's bad beer. It's bad lager. It's bad Australian lager. The fact that the Aussies won't generally touch the stuff should give you a clue.
Only excuse there ever is for drinking this is if you're on a really tight budget, as it's often on special deals. Otherwise, just don't go there. |

| spot-on Pat... but surely we can't be the only lager drinkers to see (and taste!) the obvious, why are pubs still stocked with all these 'cooking lagers'? there is the odd chink of light around (Czech beers on tap etc.) but its gonna be a long slow fight! |

| Only giving it 2 cos it's marginally better than some of the other sewage that masquerades as lager in the UK (Bud, Carling, Crapsberg etc.). Semi passable at times in the North of Britain, absolute dishwater in the South (ok, perhaps due to the fact that they actually don't mind flat beer down there). Worked in Cambridge for 6 months some years ago and couldn't believe how bad it was there, then found out it was brewed in something like 4 different breweries in Britain (Greene King if you were in Cambridge I believe), and each brew tastes completely different. I'm going to Australia for two months shortly, if the beer's all like this I'll be back on the next plane. |
