| Kirin Ichiban is a great lager with a light, refreshing flavor that manages to stay strong. Aftertaste is minimal. They advertise it as the best beer to go with sushi......and yeah, ok, it does taste great with sushi. But where it really shines is with Japanese curry. It's great for washing down a level 7 at CocoIchi's.
It is also perfectly drinkable by itself and should be noted as an example of what good people with good ingredients and good equipment can do. This is a really great lager. If it was a car it would be a black 8 cyl Infinity sedan with leather interior and a Bose sound system. |

| aside from comparing a beer to a sedan,
This beer is quite good, I got drunk as hell drinking the stuff countless times in Japan. The Japanese are actually very, very good beer makers. People have the wrong impression due to ignorance, but the Japanese have been making beer for a lonnng time.
