Stag - A golden beer in a golden can!
RATING > 10 - by Thomas M. Craig | Type : Lager | Country : United States | Date > 2005-07-19
The official beer of the good folk of Steelevile, MO (as per National Geographic). Much stouter finish than typically compared counterparts Pabst and Beast. Since enjoying new found popularity lately, happens to be the most modestly priced beer (along with underrated Lone Star) in the cooler. Bottles always cost an extra buck and a half per dozen, but is worth it if you really dig ice cold brown glass cradleing the nectar of The People.

Stag is the best value beer on the market. It is a worthy competitor for brands that cost a lot more. Ever since I first tried Stag about three years ago, it has been my beer of preference and it will remain so for the forseeable future.

Thes guys are right. Stag is the best value beer available. I can go to the local gas station and pick up a case for $9.89. I first tried stag at a huge field party about two years ago. I had been drinking ice cold Michelobe all night, but I ran out and got the stag from a friend, it was warm and tasted like straight up SHIT!!. The, three weeks ago I had a friend of mine pick me up a case of beer when he was on his way to my apt. When he showed up he was carrying a golden carboiad box with a picture of a buck on it. I WAS PISSED, but he handed me my $10 change out of $20 and I said screw it. At the first sip I was taken-aback. It was a cool, crisp, refreshing taste with a mildly sweet after taste, so I continued drinking it and got bombed. I passed outand got about 4 hours sleep. I woke up feeling fine. as a matter of fact I went all day without the slightest hint of a hangover. I havn't felt that good after a night of drinking since my freshmen year in Highschool. Stag gets me drunk, tastes good, is cheap as dirt, and doesn't giv me a hangover, this stuff is the shit!

Since my first bottle,36 years ago at the tender age of 12, I have been a devout fan of Stag Beer. Its crisp, clean, slightly dry taste goes with anything. Its the only beer I am aware of, that uses virtually no sugar in the brewing process, which makes it the "original" light beer. Because of the brewing process, it naturally has less carbs and calories than most "lite" beers. And its natural dry flavor makes it less filling than most. It also causes less hangovers because of the brewing process. Give your Anheuser Busch or Miller swilling friends a blind taste test, and over 90% of them will pick Stag over what they normally drink. Great taste, great price and better for you than most beers. What else could anybody want!

My Grandpa was a beer distributor and sold Stag so it has been around in my family since before I was born. I take pride in drinking this beer and love getting my friends turned onto it. This is one of the best beers you can buy for such a cheap price. You can buy a case of bottles for just under $15 and it tastes great! We like to call it Heineken Gold.

A great beer for a great price. It has more flavor than Budweiser, dry, and smooth. It has had a bad reputation, but as far as I can tell all that does is keep the price down. Try it and you will never buy Bud again!!!

Well, Stag has been around since before my dad was born. We live in Belleville Illinois, which is where Stag was originally brewed. There are still TONS of people who love this beer. It is a great drink with dinner, or at a party. Just remember. Steak Taters And Gravy

I have been drinking Stag for as long as I have been drinking which is...7 years now. This beer will always be a part of my life, as I say Stag is not just a beer but a way of life. All you Stag lovers out there know just what that means. When I go home to see my mom who was raised on Budwieser because my great grandfather worked at the brewery, she gives me so much shit, along with countless others. But Stag is on the rise and I can even get girls to drink it now and with the potiential buying-out of Anhieser-Bush it is soon to be Stagwieser the great American lager.

I do this solely in attempt to assure that STAG beer continues to be brewed and sold. I have been all over the world, South Korea, Germany, Philippines, Thailand....and Stag beer is by far the best in my opinion!
