Was on the East Coast visiting our family, they served this beer. My husband and I really enjoyed it. I am trying to find in central Missouri.

It's written Yuengling, stupid ! One of the best US beers but I still prefer imports from Germany.

RATING > 10 - by Travis Germick | Date > 2004-11-17
I recently went back to my hometown of York Pa and went to a couple of bars with my dad. We drank only yuengling and it was the smoothest most extraordinary beer I ever had. plus all the bars kept special glasses extra frozen for this great brew.

I am from Pa now living in TN...wish we could get it in TN but from my understanding doesn't ship this far south...I enjoy it though with visits home...

Smooth, drinkable in absurd amounts. I met this number at the Kutztown, PA German Festival on the way up the Penna Turnpike to NYC. THere was an all-you-can-eat buffet of Deutsch vittles there for $10 or less. I ate a bunch of ham and such. Couldn't think of a much better beer to accompany a good gorging on kraut and such. Real nice.

I love this beer. For all those who say they can't find it in the south, I drink it in Huntsville, AL and in Auburn, AL. It's out there you just have to go to different stores to find it. I also drank it in Starkville, MS.

RATING > 9 - by Joseph Signet | Date > 2005-02-28
you can get this stuff in the south, at least in NC anyway. i drink it all the time, and the restaurant i work at always has a keg of it on tap. this is probably my second favorite beer right behind Newcastle. just about the same taste, but a lot less expensive.

RATING > 10 - by Paul Rutledge | Date > 2005-02-24
I developed a taste for this while working in PA in '99. Fantastic beer!! I've never seen it available in the UK which is a damn shame.

RATING > 10 - by Jeffrey Scott Rice | Date > 2005-02-24
This is the smoothest beer I've ever tasted. Taste good going down and it stays down there well. If i had to pick my favorite beer it would be Yingling no contest.

RATING > 10 - by Jeffrey Scott Rice Jr. | Date > 2005-02-26
Yingling is the best ever. Its not expensive and its extroadinarily good tasteing. I live in PA and when I went to have my first drink with my father he ordered me a beer and its tasted so good. Ever since i drank lager with my father thats all ive ever tasted. I've drank Budweiser, Miller light, Triple X, Coors, Michellob, Miller High life, Duvel, Chimay, Young's, Belhaven, and De Koninck, and also Yingling. If i rated those also Yingling would be 10 and the others would be a 3. If you want a good tasteing low priced beer, its Yingling. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM BEER!!!!!

Best tasting beer i have ever drank ever. Yingling rules!

RATING > 9 - by Dustin Pitkowicz | Date > 2005-05-12
Found it while on spring break in Daytona, FL. A true Budweiser man but Yingling is all I drank there, hard to find in the mitten state tho.

I give the Lager and their Black and Tan a 9. Their Light I would just give a 6 (not enough body and taste). I've been drinking it for 5 years and have noticed that the local liquor store have kept upping the price ($8 in 5 years) since it is so popular. I now have to go to a wholesaler to get w decent price. Please note that the correct spleeling in Yuengling. I only saw one review that knew this. Since Yuengling is the oldest continually brewing beer company in the USA, I would love to know how they got throught the prohibition years remaining in business? You could distill for religious service, but I've never seen beer used for the sacrements.

They made near beer during the prohibition. It is in the history section of their web site. yuengling.com. It is some great stuff.

My ex-wife turned me on to Yuengling and it is one of my favorite beers. The price is also quite reasonable. Unfortunately it is not carried in Georgia but I have found it in Florida and pick some up every time I pass through. Now I hear South Carolina will carry it so hopefully I won't have to drive so far to get my fix!

I was turned on to yuengling while i was vacationing in o.c. maryland, some 8 yrs ago. i would not consider drinking anything else. some call it a winter beer but i think that is crazy talk it is a lager for all seasons to be enjoyed anytime !

No bitter after taste, smooth, and a hint of sweet.

RATING > 10 - by Frank Sevek | Date > 2006-02-05
Yurngling comes from Pottsville PA.
It is Americas oldest Brewery.
It's only available in 9 States at present.
They bought the Stroh Brewery in Tampa Florida in 1999.
They have also expander the PA Brewery.
Yuengling is pretty much the only beer I drink except for Costa Ricas Imperial.

RATING > 10 - by JP | Date > 2006-09-14
Great tasting Beer. Always stocked up at home. Very refreshing. The good part is that this is the cheapest beer around. I always buy it from Costco in bulk.

RATING > 10 - by Rick Erdman | Date > 2006-10-27
I live in Schuylkill County just 18 miles from the Yuengling brewery in Pottsville,Pa Yuengling is the absolute beer of choice in the area and easily outsells all other brands locally by a very wide margin. It is an excellent premium beer with a bit more of a bitter edge than most of the popular national brands. The bitter taste is what chases many amateur beer drinkers away to the sickly sweet stuff like Bud. Brewed in the style of fine German premiums Yuengling comes up a big winner in the versatility department as it is a beer for all occasions!

RATING > 10 - by Bill | Date > 2007-07-08
yeungling is the best of all the beer brewed in the united states. as a matter of fact, i am going to grab a cold yeungling now. cheers!
